Anime streaming service Crunchyroll has expanded direct integration to PlayStation 4 (PS4) and PlayStation 5 (PS5) consoles across Malaysia, enabling users to browse, subscribe to and stream content through the consoles’ Media Hub interface.
Subscriptions created through the console link directly to Crunchyroll accounts, allowing cross-platform access on PlayStation hardware as well as other supported devices.
Users can purchase the Crunchyroll Mega Fan plan directly via the PlayStation Store on PS4 or PS5 for RM14.90 per month. This tier includes ad-free viewing, streaming on up to four concurrent devices, offline downloads on supported platform and access to the Crunchyroll Game Vault catalogue of more than 100 anime-inspired mobile games. A standard Fan tier is also offered for RM12.90 per month via a QR-code registration process, which provides access to Crunchyroll’s library on a single device.
For users seeking longer-term commitments, an annual subscription option is priced at RM91.90 per year for the Fan tier and RM106.90 per year for the Mega Fan. This translates to an equivalent of approximately RM7.65 per month and RM8.90 per month, saving around 40% compared to recurring monthly payments.
Users can activate a membership directly through their console using the following steps:
Quarterly titles available to Malaysian subscribers include Overgeared, PSYREN and Black Clover Season 2 with English subtitles. The platform also features multiple language options across its catalogue of new and returning series.
