TuJu navigation feature to be restored by 6 November

Prosignal Consortium, who is the developer behind TuJu—the local navigation app being touted by the government as an alternative to Waze—have officially responded to the backlash following the sudden suspension of its turn-by-turn navigation system.

In an official statement, the company announced that it aims to fully restore and stabilise the navigation feature by 6 November 2026 at the latest.

Restoration work underway following public feedback

According to the official media release, Prosignal’s technical team is currently undertaking repair and enhancement work to fix the app’s critical issues.

“TuJu apologises to users who have experienced disruptions to the navigation function over the past few days. We take the inconvenience experienced seriously and appreciate the views and criticisms of users regarding our service.

Our technical team is carrying out restoration and improvement works, targeted to be completed by 6 November 2026 at the latest. Our priority is to ensure the navigation feature operates stably, smoothly, and meets users’ travel needs.”

While the primary navigation function remains offline, the developer confirmed that other non-navigation features within the app remain operational as usual. This includes accessing highway CCTV feeds, checking toll rates, and locating R&R stop areas managed by the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM).

In its statement, Prosignal acknowledged the constructive criticism, stating that bug reports and user feedback are actively helping them pinpoint specific issues and necessary upgrades. The developer concluded by reiterating its ambition to rebuild user trust and establish TuJu as “one of the best navigation applications that prioritises the data security of Malaysians.“
