Following the earlier debut of its flagship 8-inch handheld at Computex, Acer has expanded its portable gaming line with the new Predator Atlas 7 (PA07-151).
Officially revealed during its next@acer global press conference in Berlin at IFA 2026, the new device brings top-tier performance into a smaller, 7-inch footprint designed for mobile-first PC gamers.
The handheld comes equipped with up to Intel Arc G3 Extreme graphics, anti-drift joysticks, an upgraded cooling system, and up to an 80Wh battery running on Windows 11 Home.
What the Atlas 7 offers under the hood
Powered by Windows 11 Home out of the box, the Atlas 7 runs on up to an Intel Arc G3 Extreme processor paired with Arc B390 graphics built on Intel’s new Xe3 architecture. To help demanding games maintain smooth frame rates without heavy sacrifices in visual quality, the system supports Intel’s XeSS 3 AI upscaling technology.
You can configure the handheld with up to 24GB of fast LPDDR5x RAM and a 1TB PCIe Gen4 SSD, while Acer includes two months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate so you can jump into games right away.
Up front, the handheld features a 7-inch Full HD (1080p) touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) support, ensuring your gameplay stays fluid without screen tearing.
The display covers 100% of the sRGB color gamut, hits 500 nits peak brightness for outdoor visibility, and is protected by scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass Victus with an anti-glare DXC coating.
Better grips and anti-drift joysticks
Stick drift has long been a common headache on gaming handhelds, but Acer aims to address that with its control setup. The Atlas 7 offers optional Tunneling Magnetoresistance (TMR) joysticks, which rely on magnetic sensors rather than physical contact points to eliminate dead zones and prevent wear over time.
The rest of the controls feature smooth Hall-effect analog triggers, customizable rear macro buttons, and redesigned ergonomic grips that give your hands a more natural, steady hold during long gaming sessions.
Cooling, battery, and daily usability
To handle heat inside a compact chassis, Acer built in a dual-fan thermal system. It pairs an ultra-thin metal AeroBlade fan with a secondary fan and angled internal vents, guiding hot air away from the primary grip areas under heavy load.
Depending on the chosen configuration, the handheld comes with up to an 80Wh battery, one of the largest offered in a 7-inch form factor alongside a lighter 60Wh option on base models. Total weight remains between 700g and 750g depending on the battery size.
For expansion and accessories, the handheld includes dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, a UHS-II microSD card reader, Killer Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and stereo speakers with DTS:X Ultra.
When can we expect it in Malaysia?
While Acer has confirmed the handheld is heading to North America in Q4 2026 and EMEA in November 2026, local details remain unconfirmed. We will have to wait for Acer Malaysia to announce local availability and official pricing closer to its global launch window.
