KTMB EMUPlus adds Bandar Tasik Selatan stop from 4 to 6 September: Here’s what you need to know

Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) is adding Bandar Tasik Selatan as a temporary stop for its EMUPlus service from 4 to 6 September 2026.

The station provides direct interchange connections via the Sri Petaling LRT line, KLIA Transit and Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS).

What is KTMB EMUPlus?

EMUPlus is a supplementary intercity service that supports Electric Train Service (ETS) capacity during high demand corridors.

Unlike standard ETS journeys with reserved seating, EMUPlus operates on an unreserved free-seating basis similar to regular KTM Komuter trains.

Ticket sales are strictly capped at 306 seats per trip and can be purchased via standard KTMB ticketing channels.

KTMB EMUPlus timetable and schedules

On 4 and 6 September 2026, EMUPlus 2514 departs Bandar Tasik Selatan at 1:40 pm and arrives in Ipoh at 5:22 pm. The return train, EMUPlus 2509, departs Ipoh at 6:15 pm and terminates in Klang at 10:22 pm.

On 5 and 6 September 2026, EMUPlus 2508 leaves Klang at 7:45 am and reaches Ipoh at 11:46 am. The return service, EMUPlus 2513, departs Ipoh at 1:00 pm and arrives at Bandar Tasik Selatan at 4:25 pm.

Intermediate stops across these routes include KL Sentral, Kuala Lumpur, Kepong Sentral, Sungai Buloh, Rawang, Tanjung Malim, Sungkai, Tapah Road, Kampar and Batu Gajah.

Key rules and onboard limitations

Passengers must note several operational rules that differ from standard ETS services.

Trains feature fixed non reclining seats, and luggage is not permitted on passenger seats. Not only that, women only coaches are not enforced, and bicycles are prohibited on board.

Because commuter train sets do not have onboard toilets, all EMUPlus services will make a scheduled toilet break at Slim River station.

Onboard food sales are restricted to light snacks, and power outlets are extremely limited, so travellers are advised to bring power banks.
