Tesla has recently launched the Model Y L in Malaysia, although the order books were only opened several days after the launch event at Pavilion KL. As with other Tesla models before it, you can order the new 3-row 6-seater SUV directly through Tesla Malaysia’s website.
In case you want to have some hands-on experience with the Model Y L before making any decisions, you can check it out at Tesla Malaysia’s roadshow in Pavilion KL until 12 April 2026. Alternatively, the Model Y L is also available for viewing at Tesla Experience Centres in Cyberjaya, Pavilion Damansara Heights, and Gurney Plaza Penang.

Officially, Tesla didn’t publicly list the battery capacity and motor output for its Tesla Model Y L. That being said, several sources, including regulatory filings and the Model Y owner’s manual in China, have said that the EV carries an 82kWh NMC battery together with a dual-motor all-wheel drive setup that has a total output of 340kW (456hp) and 567Nm of torque.
The company officially said that the Model Y L has a WLTP-rated range of 681km. The 3-row 6-seater electric SUV also has a top speed of 201km/h and can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 5 seconds, which is just 0.2 seconds slower than the Model Y LR AWD variant.

Aside from having a 3-row seating configuration and captain seats on the 2nd row, the Model Y L also carries other additional features that are not available on other Model Y variants in Malaysia for the time being. Among them are:
- Electronically-adjustable thigh support extension on the front seats
