The new range focuses on sleep hygiene, utilising automated adjustments and specialised airflow designs to address common sleep disruptions caused by traditional climate control.
The Science of “Still Air”
The primary technical differentiator in the new lineup is the proprietary WindFree technology. While traditional units rely on high-velocity air vents that can cause “cold shock” or physical discomfort, these models disperse air through 23,000 micro air holes covering the front panel.
This creates what the industry calls a “Still Air” environment, defined by air currents moving at speeds below 0.15m/s. In this mode, the units operate at a noise level as low as 23dB, significantly quieter than a typical library environment, to minimise acoustic disruptions during rest.
Mechanics of the “Good Sleep” Mode
A central feature of the range is the Good Sleep mode, which is based on a three-stage temperature curve designed to align with human biological triggers for rest:
- Falling Asleep Stage: The unit drops the temperature by 1°C–2°C from the user’s set point to help lower the core body temperature, a necessary trigger for the onset of sleep.
- Sound Sleep Stage: During deep sleep, the body’s metabolism slows. The AC automatically raises the temperature by 1°C–2°C to prevent the user from waking up due to a chill.
- Wake Up Stage: In the final hour of the sleep cycle, the temperature rises by up to 3°C to help the body transition out of deep sleep, aiming to leave the user feeling more refreshed.
Wearable Integration and Hardware Requirements
While the AC unit can perform a standard version of this cycle via a manual timer, the automated “AI” experience is hardware-dependent.
To utilise the WindFree Wearable Good Sleep feature, where the AC detects the exact moment a user falls asleep to adjust its cooling profile in real-time, the purchase of a compatible Samsung wearable is required. The system is designed to sync with the Galaxy Watch (Series 4 and later), Galaxy Fit3, or Galaxy Ring.
Those without a Samsung wearable can still access a standard “Good Sleep” mode via the manual remote or the SmartThings app. This version follows a pre-set timer and temperature curve rather than using real-time biometric feedback.
AI Energy Management and Efficiency
With energy costs remaining a priority for Malaysian households, the Bespoke AI series introduces specific efficiency benchmarks:
- AI Energy Mode: By analysing usage patterns and room conditions, this mode can reduce energy consumption by up to 30% compared to standard operations.
- Operational Savings: Samsung claims that when switching from “Fast Cooling” to “WindFree” mode, the outdoor unit consumes minimal power, potentially reducing electricity usage by up to 77%.
- Energy Ratings: The Premium Pro variant carries a 5-star energy rating, the highest efficiency tier in Malaysia, while the Deluxe model is rated at 4 stars.
Hygiene and Maintenance
To address indoor air quality, the units include a Tri-Care Filter and Easy Filter Plus, designed to capture large dust particles and inhibit certain bacteria. The series also features Freeze Wash technology, which freezes the heat exchanger to collect dirt and then thaws it to wash the residue away, maintaining cooling efficiency without frequent manual cleaning.

The Bespoke AI WindFree series is now available through Samsung’s official website and authorised nationwide dealers. Samsung has backed the hardware with a 10-year warranty on the compressor.
