Xiaomi Malaysia has introduced its new lineup of smart Mijia Air Conditioners which comes with a lower price. The Mijia Air Conditioner Eco 4-star is now on sale and you can order one online from under RM900 via its official online stores.
Like the previous Pro Eco 5-star version, the new Eco 4-star air conditioners are offered in either 1.0HP and 1.5HP options.

- Mijia Air Conditioner Eco 4-star Inverter (1.5HP) – RM1,599
According to Xiaomi Malaysia, these air conditioners come with delivery and installation (worth RM499) included. For greater peace of mind, it is also covered by a 3-year general warranty and 10-years compressor warranty.

Mijia Air Conditioner Eco 4-star Inverter Features
The new Mijia Air Conditioner Eco 4-star uses a full DC inverter system which boasts energy savings of up to 24.3% with its Mijia AI Energy Saving Mode. To cool down a room quickly, it has a 30 second quick cooling feature in Turbo Mode powered by a 108mm cross-flow fan.
In terms of design, it looks similar as the previous version as it comes with an LCD status display.
Being a connected smart home appliance, the Mijia Air Conditioner can be controlled remotely via the Xiaomi home app which also notifies you if there are any errors or cleaning reminders. Alternatively, you can still control the aircon via its provided remote control that features a large screen and buttons for ease of use.
The air conditioner itself can also stay up to date via OTA software updates. As part of the smart home ecosystem, you can also control the aircon via voice through Google Assistant.
The air conditioner has a self-cleaning function that freezes the evaporator to trap dust and then it defrosts to wash away dirt. To clean the air con physically, the indoor unit features an easy-to-clean design that lets you take out the filter quickly for cleaning.
The main difference of this cheaper Eco version version last year’s Pro Eco is that the new offering has a lower 4-star energy efficiency rating instead of 5-stars from the Energy Commission. The more premium Pro Eco has a CSPF rating of up to 5.97 (1.5HP: 5.67) while the new accordable Eco version has a CSPF rating of 5.4 for both 1.0HP and 1.5HP units.
In addition, the Eco variant seems to lack the Gentle airflow feature for a diffused airflow.
