Renowned tyre retailer and automotive service provider, Lim Tayar, has recently hosted the 3rd Berbuka Puasa Bersama Lim Tayar session. What began in 2024 as a modest customer appreciation gesture during Ramadan has since evolved into a consistent annual event.
The iftar session has steadily grown in size over the years, and this year’s edition was the biggest one so far, with over 200 guests in attendance, including customers and industry partners. Aside from having the opportunity for everyone to mingle around outside of the workshop setting, the guests also had the opportunity to bring home some great lucky draw prizes.
Michelin, Pirelli and Hankook joined the celebration
Among those that attended this year’s Berbuka Puasa Bersama Lim Tayar session are representatives from 3 of the biggest EV tyre brands: Michelin, Pirelli, and Hankook. Their presence wasn’t just for show – the participation of these global brands reflects the increasing presence of EVs on Malaysian roads.
In fact, each brand has also provided a full set of EV tyres for guests to win through the event’s lucky draw session. All in all, it also signalled Lim Tayar’s commitment to the growing EV segment in Malaysia.
Lim Tayar has previously collaborated with SoyaCincau.com to host two Pop-Up EV Clinic sessions last year, which allowed EV owners to check the battery health of their EVs for free. They were also able to obtain expert advice regarding EV tyres, suspension and EV charging solutions as well as exclusive offers from participating brands.
Setting the pace for the future
Lim Tayar currently holds a unique spot in the industry, being one of the very few, if not the only, tyre retailer in Malaysia hosting a large-scale Buka Puasa event for its customers. It’s a move that strengthens the bond between the people who sell the tyres, the people who make them, and most importantly, the people who drive on them.
