TNB Electron’s continues to expand its EV charging network in Perak with the opening its new location in Kuala Kangsar.
Not only this is the most powerful EV charging location in Kuala Kangsar but it is also a convenient stop for those who need to charge while travelling between Taiping and Sungai Siput.
As usual, TNB Electron is offering free EV Charging at the new location for a limited time.
TNB Electron has deployed a TELD DC Charging solution with 4 charging bays located at Wisma TNB Electron in Kuala Kangsar, Perak. Similar to recent TNB Electron DC Charger deployments, the site has a maximum capacity of 240kW and it is priced at RM1.50 per kWh.
You don’t need to download any apps to activate and pay for charging here. Just tap your credit and debit card at the JuiceUP card payment terminal.
Take note that each charging nozzles is rated at 250A. This means 400V EVs can get up to a maximum 100kW while 800V EVs can get up to 200kW. Your actual charging rate depends on your EV’s state of charge (SoC) as well as the number of EVs plugged in to the site.
As part of TNB Electron’s tradition, they are offering free EV charging during the opening testing phase.
EV users can charge for free at Wisma TNB Kuala Kangsar starting today, 12:00pm 31st January 2026 until 11:59pm 1st February 2026.
