BYD Shark 6, Denza Z9 GT now in Johor Bahru as part of BYD Tech Discovery weekend

True to its promise, BYD Malaysia has brought BYD Tech Discovery Tour to Johor Bahru this weekend. Similar to the tour’s first outing at Desa ParkCity last November, the company has brought two models that are not yet available in our market: the BYD Shark 6 PHEV pickup truck and Denza Z9 GT shooting brake.

At the event which will last until 25 January in Angsana Johor Bahru Malls, visitors can actually take a ride in the Shark 6 and go through the outdoor obstacle course which includes cross-axle simulation and a camel bridge. Here’s what you can expect from the experience:

The same goes to the Z9 GT which is showcasing its ability to perform tank turns and crab walks – something that very few passenger cars are able to do and it is a sight to behold.

In case you are wondering, the appearance of Shark 6 and Z9 GT at the event are purely as tech showcase. Until today, BYD has yet to confirm the availability of the PHEV pickup truck and PHEV/BEV shooting brake for Malaysia.

Meanwhile, visitors can also sample other BYD and Denza all-electric models that readily available in Malaysia at the event including Atto 2, Atto 3 Ultra, M6, Seal 6, Seal, Sealion 7, and D9. At the same time, you can also win some prizes by checking out the tech that BYD featured at the event including Blade Battery, e-Platform 3.0, Dual-Mode Offroad (DMO), and many more.
