Tesla Malaysia maintains EV pricing in 2026, opens first pop-up outlet in Kuching

Tesla Malaysia has confirmed that it will maintain its 2025 vehicle pricing into 2026, despite the conclusion of Malaysia’s electric vehicle tax holiday.

The company says this move is part of its continued commitment to accelerating EV adoption in the country, alongside further investments in charging infrastructure and customer access nationwide.

This means the Tesla Model 3 will still be offered starting from RM169,000 while the Model Y continues to retain its starting price of RM195,450.

According to Tesla, customers in Malaysia can continue to customise their Tesla at the same starting prices with deliveries possible from February 2026. They can also enjoy up to RM2,000 off where eligible, alongside Refer & Earn benefits.

To support Malaysia’s green initiatives, Tesla says it will continue to invest steadily on growing its EV charging network and infrastructure across Malaysia.

It currently operates 18 Supercharging stations and 17 Destination Charging locations, which offer a total of 76 Supercharger and 79 Destination charge points. It said more charging stations are coming soon to strengthen the seamless and comprehensive Tesla ownership experience.

Here’s the starting prices for Tesla EVs in Malaysia before extra options and customisations:

Tesla Model 3

  • Model 3 RWD – RM169,000
  • Model 3 Long Range RWD – RM185,000
  • Model 3 Long Range AWD – RM199,000
  • Model 3 Performance AWD – RM229,000

Tesla Model Y

  • Model Y RWD – RM195,450
  • Model Y Long Range AWD – RM242,450

As teased earlier, Tesla has expanded its presence into East Malaysia with the opening of its first pop-up in Kuching, Sarawak. Visitors can experience Tesla EVs at Lot G-064, Vivacity Megamall in Kuching Sarawak.

Tesla is also offering exclusive January incentives in Kuching while stocks last and customers who place their orders before 15th January 2026 will receive an official Tesla headrest.

Owners who successfully refer two customers who purchase and take delivery in January will receive a limited-edition colour-matched Wall Connector faceplate, in addition to RM1,000 in Tesla Credits through the Refer & Earn programme, which the owner can earn RM500 credits per successful preferral.
