Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has announced that all Malaysian adults aged 18 years old and above will receive their one-off Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) RM100 credit on 9th February 2026.
SARA is a cash aid from the government which is utilised to purchase essential goods at participating supermarkets and retail outlets.
The upcoming disbursement is the second round of SARA following the first round which ran from 31st August to 31st December 2025.
Announced during his monthly address in Putrajaya, he said the one-off RM100 SARA will be credited beginning 9th February 2026 ahead of the Chinese New year and Ramadan period.

The second round of SARA was initially revealed during the tabling of Budget 2026 and it is expected to benefit 22 million Malaysian adults.
For 2026, the government is allocating RM15 billion for Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) and Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA).

The SARA RM100 programme is disbursed using the MyKasih system and it uses the MyKad as the mode of payment. There’s no activation or registration required to use the RM100 credit. Just bring your MyKad along when you visit a participating merchant and use the credit to purchase essential goods across 14 product categories under the SARA programme.
Further details of the SARA initiative including programme duration and validity are expected to be revealed closer to the start of the programme.
Meanwhile, monthly recipients of SARA will get RM50 to RM200 (depending on approval) via their MyKad starting this Friday, 9th January 2026, while the first phase of Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) with amounts up to RM500 will begin on 20th January 2026.
