Gentari has deployed a new EV fast charging location along LPT2 highway heading towards Kuala Terengganu.
The chargers are located at Ajil R&R Eastbound (North), which is about 24km away from Kuala Terengganu Toll Plaza or 73km away from Paka R&R.
Similar to Gentari’s previous deployment at Ajil R&R Westbound, the new EV charging site features two DC Chargers assisted by Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).

For this location, Gentari has deployed two standalone Kempower DC Chargers with two CCS2 nozzles each, capable of pushing up to 150kW. Similar to other Gentari BESS-assisted chargers deployed in Senawang and Behrang, the chargers are priced at RM1.80 per kWh.
If you’re a Gentari Go Power Pass user, it will cost you RM0.90 per kWh with the membership’s 50% off perk.

Since this site uses a BESS, the charging speed depends on the battery levels. If the battery level drops to medium or low, the maximum charging speed will be reduced and one of the chargers will be disabled until the BESS gets sufficient charge.
The BESS solution is deployed as a temporary solution to enable fast charging in areas with insufficient power supply.
With the latest deployment, there are now 3 charging locations for each (West/East) bound along LPT2 between Kuantan and Kuala Terengganu. Here’s the list of charging locations:
- Perasing R&R (both bounds) – 180kW Shell Recharge (2 bays) + 150kW Gentari (4 bays)
- Paka R&R (Eastbound) – 180kW Shell Recharge (2 bays) + 180kW TNB Electron (2 bays)
- Ajil R&R (Eastbound) – 150kW x2 Gentari (4 bays)
- Ajil R&R (Westbound) – 150kW x2 Gentari (4 bays)
- Paka R&R (Westbound) – 180kW Shell Recharge (2 bays) + 180kW TNB Electron (2 bays)
