Remember the Nothing Phone (2a) Community Edition with a back that glows in the dark? Its successor is now here, built based on the Nothing Phone (3a). As its name suggests, the limited-edition Phone (3a) Community Edition is indeed co-built by the community, a.k.a fans of the brand.

Nothing Phone (3a) Community Edition: Made by the fans, for the fans

Nothing has selected four emerging creators from over 700 submissions to collaborate on the limited-edition smartphone over nine months, working alongside the company’s London-based Design, Software, Marketing, and Creative teams. This includes the product’s design, software, packaging, and marketing.

Featuring a design inspired by technology from the late 90s and early 2000s, the Nothing Phone (3a) Community Edition also features a custom clock face comprising multiple font weights, as well as an exclusive wallpaper that includes hidden ‘easter eggs’.

Beyond that, the limited edition phone is essentially similar to the regular Nothing Phone (3a). This includes a 6.77″ 120Hz AMOLED screen, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, a triple rear camera setup, a 5,000mAh battery, 50W charging, and, not to be missed, Nothing’s Glyph Interface.

Nothing Phone (3a) Community Edition pricing & availbility in Malaysia

With only 1,000 units ever going to be made globally, the Nothing Phone (3a) Community Edition is priced at RM1,699 in Malaysia with a sole 12GB+256GB option.

Registration of interest for the limited edition phone is open until 11 December 2025 via Nothing’s official site, with a limited sales window set to happen on 12 December via Nothing’s official site as well as select retail partners.
