Leapmotor B10: Stellantis’ answer to the Proton e.MAS 7, priced from RM99,800

The Leapmotor B10 has officially launched in Malaysia and it is Stellantis’ second EV model for our local market.

Positioned as a C-segment electric SUV below the Leapmotor C10, the new B10 competes directly with the Proton e.MAS 7 with similar motor output and it offers faster DC charging.

As part of introductory offer, the Leapmotor B10 is offered with a starting price of RM99,800 after rebates for early bird customers.

Leapmotor B10 Malaysia Price

The Leapmotor B10 comes in two variants which offer different battery capacity, range and DC charging rate. Here’s the official pricing in Malaysia with its launch rebate:

  • Leapmotor B10 Life (361km WLTP) – RM99,800 (RRP: 107,800)
  • Leapmotor B10 Design (434km WLTP) – RM109,800 (RRP: RM118,800)

There are a total of 5 exterior colours – Starry Night Blue, Dawn Purple, Tundra Grey, Light White and Metallic Black. For the interior, the Life variant comes in dark grey fabric, while the Design variant offers a choice of dark grey or shadow grey ECO leather. The RM8,000 launch rebate is applicable for the first 200 customers.

This EV is covered by a 6-year/150,000km vehicle warranty, and an 8-year/160,000km battery warranty, whichever comes first. The scheduled service interval is set at 1-year/20,000km, whichever comes first.

Leapmotor B10

The Leapmotor B10 for both Life and Design variants feature a rear-wheel drive (RWD) setup with a single motor pushing 160kW (215hp) and 240Nm of torque.

It is capable of accelerating from 0-100km/h in 8 seconds, with a top speed of 170km/h. It also gets MacPherson front struts and multi-link rear suspension.

This C-segment SUV measures 4,515mm long, 1,885 wide and has a height of 1,655mm. It gets a wheelbase of 2,735mm and a ground clearance of 170mm. It gets a spacious 430L boot that’s expandable up to 1,700L.

This electric SUV comes in two LFP-based 400V battery options. The base Life variant gets a 56.2kWh unit with up to 360km of WLTP-rated range and Design variant gets a larger 67.1kWh unit that offers up to 434km WLTP-rated range.

Charging is also best in class with three-phase 11kW AC onboard charger along with DC fast charging up to 140kW for the smaller battery and up to 168kW for the range-topping 67.1kWh version.

According to Leapmotor, the B10 can get from 30-80% in under 20 minutes. In addition, the B10 also supports vehicle-to-load (V2L) up to 3.3kW.

On the inside, the B10 comes with a 8.8″ digital instrument cluster and a 14.6″ 2.5K infotainment display with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which are coming via OTA software update.

For safety, the Leapmotor B10 offers 7 airbags and a comprehensive suite of ADAS features including adaptive cruise control, lane centering control, emergency lane keeping assist, traffic jam assist, blind spot detection and rear cross traffic braking.
