Following a quick hit and run teaser, Nothing has finally unveiled its latest Phone (3a) Lite. As the name suggests, this is a budget smartphone under its Nothing line up. Oddly, it shares a lot of similarities to its budget CMF Phone 2 Pro.
It also runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro processor, a similar 6.77″ AMOLED display, the same 5,000mAh battery and also a triple-camera setup but with a couple of differences.
The standout feature is the design where it retains Nothing’s iconic “transparent” appearance with a tempered glass back. Also included is a Glyph light which blinks for notifications and count downs for taking pictures. Similar to its recent release, the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite also features an Essential Key that lets you capture important moments or to record voice notes, which are then sorted using AI in Essential Space.
The Nothing Phone (3a) Lite gets a 6.77″ 120Hz AMOLED display that pushes a Full HD+ resolution of 2392×1084 pixels. It boasts a peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits, a touch sampling rate of 1000Hz and PWM frequency of 2160Hz.
Under the hood, it runs on a 4nm Dimensity 7300 Pro 5G chip mated to 8GB of RAM. It is available in 128GB and 256GB storage options and is expandable up to 2TB via a microSD card slot.
In the camera department, it gets a triple-camera setup but it is a downgrade from the CMF Phone 2 Pro. It gets a 50MP f/1.88 24mm main camera (1.57″ sensor) and an 8MP f/2.2 15mm ultra-wide-angle camera (1/4″ sensor). Instead of a telephoto shooter, the third lens is a 2MP f/2.4 macro camera.
For selfies, it gets a 16MP f/2.45 24mm front shooter. The Nothing Phone (3a) Lite supports 4K video recording at 30fps as well as 1080p recording up to 60fps and 120fps slow-mo.
Powering the device is a 5,000mAh battery and it supports 33W fast wired charging via USB-C. According to Nothing, 50% charge takes 20 minutes and a full charge takes one hour.
Out of the box, it runs on Nothing OS 3.5 powered by Android 15. Nothing promises 3 years of Android updates and 6 years of security updates for this device.
The Nothing Phone (3a) Lite comes in Black and White, and here’s the official pricing in the UK:

- Nothing Phone (3a) Lite (8GB + 256GB) – GBP 279 (about RM1,550)
As a comparison, the CMF Phone 2 Pro with 8GB + 256GB is currently priced at GBP 249 in the UK and in Malaysia, it retails for RM1,199.
