Allianz Malaysia has recently unveiled the Allianz EV EcoMiles, a new benefit for electric vehicle owners. Under the new scheme, low-mileage EV users who have insured their vehicles with Allianz will be eligible for cash rewards.
Do note that the new Allianz EV EcoMiles is currently exclusive for battery-powered EVs (BEVs). The insurance company has explicitly stated on its official website that hybrid vehicles, including plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models, are not eligible for the EV EcoMiles program.
Additionally, the insured EV must be used for private purposes and registered in the name of an individual. Not to forget, customers also have to make sure that they activate the EV EcoMiles coverage through the MyAllianz app within 30 days from the commencement date of their EV’s insurance policy.
To celebrate the launch of the new scheme, Allianz is currently offering a complimentary RM100 ChargEV charging credit to customers who activate EV EcoMiles when they sign up for the Allianz Private Car Comprehensive policy. This offer is available until 31 October 2025 or once the campaign’s total amount payable reaches RM50,000.
How many cash rewards can you get from Allianz EV EcoMiles?
According to Allianz, customers can get 15% of their EV’s Net Basic Premium through the new EV EcoMiles programme if their average annual mileage is 10,000km and below. They are still eligible for the cash rewards if their mileage is between 10,001km to 15,000km, albeit the rate would be lower at 10%.
Do note that the average annual mileage is not based on the mileage between renewal and expiration dates of your EV’s insurance policy. Instead, it is based on the age of the vehicle.

In order to obtain the rewards, customers must submit a picture of their EV’s odometer and number plate within 14 days before or after the expiry of the policy. Once the submission has been verified, the cash reward will be credited directly into your bank account.
