MG Motor Malaysia has announced new pricing for its electric hatchback, the MG4. Originally launched in March last year, the new pricing provides savings of more than RM28,000 alongside additional perks worth up to RM10,000.
MG4 Malaysia Pricing (Oct 2025 onwards)
Starting from this month onwards, this is how much the MG4 costs in Malaysia:
- MG4 Lux: RM100,888
- MG4 Lux Extended Range (ER): RM128,888
- MG4 XPower: RM138,888
As a comparison, here is the price list of MG4 prior to the price cut:
- MG4 Standard: RM103,999
- MG4 Lux: RM128,999
- MG4 Lux ER: RM148,999
- MG4 XPower: RM158,999
Hence, you are looking at not only a much lower starting price but also huge savings. Specifically, you are looking at a saving of between RM20,111 to RM28,111, depending on specific variants.
Through the new price adjustment, you can now get the much more powerful Lux variant for less than what the Standard variant originally cost. Despite that, we were informed by MG Motor Malaysia that the Standard variant has not yet been discontinued, as you can still get it at selected dealerships and they have their own pre-owned offers for the variant.
At the same time, MG Motor Malaysia is also offering additional perks worth up to RM10,000 for the MG4 XPower and Lux ER variants or RM7,000 for the Lux option. Customers can opt for either a 7kW AC charger or charging credits.
MG4 Malaysia quick specs
Most of the differences between MG4 variants revolve around their performance, battery capacities, range, and charging speed. Here’s a quick comparison between all 4 of them:
In addition to that, the MG4 Standard is equipped with an LFP battery, 17-inch wheels, and fabric seats. The rest of the MG4 variants feature an NMC battery, 18-inch wheels, and leather seats, while XPower also has some Alcantara bits on its seats.
The MG4 Lux, Lux ER, and XPower also have additional features such as a 360-degree camera, a 6-speaker audio system, an active grille system, twin aero spoilers, foldable electronic side mirrors, and iSMART app support. Their MG Pilot ADAS system also comes with extra features such as Blind Spot Detection with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Change Assist, and Door Opening Warning.
Meanwhile, all four MG4 variants have a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch infotainment display, Android Auto & Apple CarPlay support, and 6 airbags. Their standard ADAS feature list includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning System, Traffic Jam Assist, and Driver Attention Alert.
