Nothing has officially launched the Nothing Ear (3), its latest flagship pair of true wireless earbuds. For context, the Ear (3) is technically the fourth generation of Nothing’s earbuds. The lineup began with the Ear (1) in 2021, followed by the Ear (2) in 2023, then the Nothing Ear and Ear (a) in 2024, before arriving at this current generation in 2025.

While it continues the brand’s trademark transparent aesthetic, the Nothing Ear (3) is the first model to incorporate metal components, giving both the earbuds and case a more durable and premium finish. The case itself is now made with 100% anodised recycled aluminium and features smoother curves along with a new dedicated “Talk” button.

That button activates what Nothing calls the Super Mic, a dual-microphone system built into the case. According to the company, it can filter out up to 95dB of background noise, allowing voices to come through more clearly during calls. Beyond calls, the Super Mic can also be used for recording voice notes directly via the native voice memo apps on iOS and Android. Each earbud is also equipped with a three-microphone array and a bone-conduction voice pickup unit, further boosting call clarity even in noisy environments.

In terms of audio hardware, the Nothing Ear (3) features 12mm dynamic drivers that promise stronger bass and a wider soundstage. The earbuds support AAC, SBC, and LDAC codecs, are Hi-Res Audio certified, and also come with static Spatial Audio support. On top of that, the earbuds include real-time adaptive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) that can cancel up to 45dB of noise. Other features include in-ear detection, a low-latency gaming mode, and Bluetooth 5.4 with dual-device connection support.

Battery life has also been improved. Each bud carries a 55mAh battery while the case houses a 500mAh unit. With ANC on, the Ear (3) can last up to 5.5 hours on a single charge, or up to 10 hours with ANC off. Combined with the charging case, users get a total of up to 38 hours of playback. The case supports both fast wired charging and wireless charging. Both the earbuds and the case are rated IP54 for water and dust resistance.

The Nothing Ear (3) will be available in Black and White colour options. In Malaysia, the earbuds are priced at RM759, with availability starting 6 October 2025.
