While there’s a lot of excitement for the new Xiaomi 17 series that’s launching in China, Xiaomi is launching a different flagship smartphone series for the global market next week.

This is the Xiaomi 15T series, which is the “value for money” lineup of the Xiaomi 15 series which also boasts Leica co-developed cameras at a more affordable price range.

From the teasers, the Xiaomi 15T lineup promises to offer Pro-grade Leica imagery and Leica 5x Pro telephoto.

The global launch for the Xiaomi 15T is taking place in Munich, Germany on 24th September at 2pm (8pm Malaysian time). However, the local Malaysian launch is happening the next day on 25th September at 4pm.

According to the event page, Xiaomi Malaysia is giving 24-month quality assurance and a one free screen repalcement within 6 months as part of its exclusive offers.

Besides the smartphones, we also expect Xiaomi Malaysia to introduce several new IoT products for our local market.

Based on recent leaks we’ve seen online, the Xiaomi 15T and Xiaomi 15T Pro are expected to run on a MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra and 9400+ chipsets respectively, which are a step up from their predecessors. The screens are bigger at 6.83″ while the battery is also upgraded to a larger 5,500mAh pack. Charging seems to be unchanged on the Xiaomi 15T as it retains 67W Xiaomi HyperCharge.

To recap, last year’s Xiaomi 14T was launched in Malaysia with a starting price of RM1,899 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 14T Pro was priced from RM2,599 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model.
