Gentari is expanding its EV charging infrastructure on Penang Island with its third DC charging site in partnership with MBPP. Similar to its recent deployment in Jelutong and Persiaran Karpal Singh, the new EV charging location deployed at street parking level.

Gentari has deployed a 50kW DC Charger with two charging bays located in front of a FamilyMart Farlim in Bandar Baru Air Hitam on Penang Island. This is a prime destination with variety of shopping, banks and F&B options.

The 50kW DC charger is priced at RM1.60 per kWh. If you have a Gentari Go Power Pass membership, it will cost you RM0.80 per kWh.

The charger has two CCS2 nozzles and the power output will split (20-25kW) if there are two vehicles plugged in at the same time. You can activate and pay for this charger via the Gentari Go app.

According to the Gentari Go app, towing will be enforced in the area. If you find any vehicles blocking or misusing the EV charging bays, you can call Aduan MBPP hotline at 04-2637000 or WhatsApp to 016-200 4082.
