Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy Tab S11 series in Malaysia, which succeeds last year’s Galaxy Tab S10+ and S10 Ultra. For 2025, the lineup consists of two models — the base Galaxy Tab S11 with a compact 11” display and the larger Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra with a 14.6” screen.

Ultra-slim design and new S Pen
The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is Samsung’s slimmest and lightest larger screen tablet yet. It measures just 5.1mm thin (similar to the current iPad Pro 13″) and weighing 692g (for WiFi model). Despite its massive display and bigger battery, it is slimmer and lighter than its predecessor. Bezels have been trimmed down to 5.2mm, and the notch is now smaller with a single front camera.
Samsung has redesigned the S Pen with a hexagonal grip that feels more like a real pencil. The magnetic dock to charge the S Pen has been relocated to the top edge of the tablet, similar to the iPad.
Meanwhile, the POGO connector now sits at the back, which changes the way it connects to the Book Cover Keyboard. The S Pen still supports Bluetooth and comes included in the box.
Performance and productivity with Galaxy AI and DeX
Both the Galaxy Tab S11 and S11 Ultra feature Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays with a peak brightness of 1,600 nits. Under the hood, they are powered by the 3nm MediaTek Dimensity 9400+, which offers 24% better CPU, 27% better GPU and 33% better NPU performance compared to the previous generation.
The Galaxy Tab S11 series is equipped with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, while the Ultra model is offered with a larger 512GB storage option.
For productivity, the latest flagship Samsung tablets now comes with an upgraded Samsung DeX experience. It has Extended Mode, allowing users to wirelessly connect a second display to a monitor or phone, and Samsung Dex now lets you manage up to four workspaces. The tablets also benefit from Samsung’s latest Galaxy AI tools such as Gemini Live, Writing Assist and Drawing Assist.
Cameras, battery and other features
Both tablets pack a 12MP ultra-wide front camera and a 13MP main rear camera. However, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra gets a dual-rear camera setup with an additional 8MP ultra-wide rear camera.
The base Galaxy Tab S11 gets a 8,400mAh battery and the bigger Ultra model packs a larger 11,600mAh capacity. Both support 45W wired fast charging via USB-C.
Other features include quad speakers and on-screen fingerprint sensors.
