Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy S25 FE in Malaysia. At first glance, it may look identical to its predecessor but the 2025 refresh brings several meaningful upgrades in hardware, durability and software.

As you would expect from a Fan Edition device, the Galaxy S25 FE is designed to deliver flagship features from the Galaxy S25 series at a more accessible price point.

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE Malaysia Price

Here’s the official pricing for the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE in Malaysia

  • Samsung Galaxy S25 FE 8GB + 256GB – RM3,099
  • Samsung Galaxy S25 FE 8GB + 512GB – RM3,699

The device comes in four colours – Navy, Icy Blue, Jet Black, and White.

You can save RM250 if you purchase the Samsung Reservation+ Voucher for RM50.

Small but welcomed hardware upgrades

Powering the Galaxy S25 FE is the Exynos 2400, the same chip that’s powering the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. As a comparison, last year’s S24 FE uses an Exynos 2400e, which is essentially the same chip, but the high-performance cores are clocked slightly lower at 3.1GHz instead of 3.2GHz.

It is still paired with 8GB of RAM and storage options up to 512GB. For better thermal management, Samsung has enlarged the vapour chamber by 10% and added a liquid thermal interface material for improved heat dissipation.

The selfie camera has been upgraded from 10MP to 12MP, while the rear camera setup is unchanged. It still gets a 50MP main, 12MP ultra-wide and 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Samsung says low-light shots are improved with object-aware noise reduction.

Meanwhile, battery capacity has also increased from 4,700mAh to 4,900mAh, now on par with the Galaxy S25+. It supports 45W fast wired fast charging via USB-C, capable of hitting 65% in 30 minutes.

When it comes to display, the Galaxy S25 FE remains unchanged with a 6.7” Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 1,900 nits peak brightness.

Lighter, thinner and improved durability

Despite the hardware upgrades and a bigger battery, the Galaxy S25 FE is still 8% slimmer and 11% lighter than its predecessor. The 2025 Fan Edition measures 7.4mm thick (S24 FE: 8.0mm), and it weighs 190g (S24 FE: 213g).

It also comes with an enhanced Armor Aluminium frame and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection for the display, while maintaining an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

One UI 8 with Galaxy AI

The Galaxy S25 FE is the first Galaxy S device to ship with One UI 8 based on Android 16 out of the box. It inherits features from the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7, with deeper Galaxy AI integration and advanced multimodal capabilities.

AI-powered creative tools such as instant slow-mo, generative edit and audio eraser are included, giving users more flexibility when creating content. As part of Samsung’s long-term support promise, the Galaxy S25 FE will receive 7 years of OS and security updates.

One UI 8 was first rolled out to the latest Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 series, and Samsung will gradually roll it out to existing compatible Galaxy devices.
