Tesla continues to expand its EV charging infrastructure in Malaysia with Bangsar Shopping Centre as their latest location.

These are Destination Chargers which are ideal for Tesla owners to charge up their vehicle while spend several hours shopping and dining at the mall.

For this location at LG, Tesla has deployed three Destination chargers (AC Charge points) which can charge Tesla EVs up to 11kW. These chargers are exclusive to Tesla vehicles only and they are still free to use until further notice.

These new chargers replace the previous free BMW Wallbox chargers at the mall. If you’re driving non-Tesla EVs, there are other paid AC charge points available in the mall. These chargers are priced at RM0.90 per kWh and you can pay via contactless credit and debit cards.

At the moment, Tesla has deployed a total of 141 EV charge points across 15 Supercharging and 16 Destination Charging locations.

As announced previously, Tesla aims to deploy at least 5 more Supercharging locations by end of this year which include Pavilion Damansara Heights, Bangsar South, IPC Shopping Centre, Mid Valley Southkey and Toppen Shopping Centre. The last Supercharger location is at i-CIty Shah Alam which went live in June 2025.
