DJI has introduced the DJI Mic 3, the latest generation of its wireless microphone system for creators and professionals. It’s a lightweight, clip-on wireless mic that supports multi-user recording, adaptive gain control, and 32-bit float audio for studio-grade sound on the go.
Compared to the DJI Mic 2, the new Mic 3 adds support for up to four transmitters, adaptive gain control, dual-file 32-bit float recording with 32GB storage, three voice tone presets, and quadraphonic mode for multi-track recording.

DJI Mic 3 Specs and Features
The system builds on its predecessors with support for up to four transmitters and eight receivers, making it suitable for multi-camera shoots and group interviews. A new Adaptive Gain Control system automatically prevents clipping and balances audio levels, while creators can also select from three voice tone presets (Regular, Rich, Bright) and use two-level noise cancelling for clearer recordings.
For added reliability, the Mic 3 supports dual-file 32-bit float internal recording with 32 GB storage, protecting against wireless interference and capturing a wide dynamic range. It also delivers lossless 48kHz 24-bit audio for high-fidelity results.
Weighing just 16 grams per transmitter, the Mic 3 is designed for flexibility with a detachable rotatable clip, magnetic mounting, or lanyard wear. The charging case can store two transmitters and one receiver, providing up to 28 hours of extended use, with a five-minute quick charge delivering two hours of runtime.
Connectivity options include a 3.5mm TRS output, 3.5mm TRRS monitoring port, USB-C, and Bluetooth direct-to-phone. Within DJI’s ecosystem, Mic 3 pairs directly with devices such as the Osmo Action 5 Pro, Osmo Pocket 3, and Osmo 360 without a receiver.
