All Malaysian adults will soon receive their RM100 Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) Cash Aid this coming Merdeka Day on 31st August 2025. To find out if you’re eligible, you can start checking online via the official SARA website with no registration and no app required.
This is a one-off RM100 SARA Cash Aid to buy essential goods and you can claim it by using the physical MyKad.
How to check if you’re eligible for RM100 SARA Cash Aid?
To check on your SARA status and eligibility, here are the steps:
- Visit the official Sara website at sara.gov.my
- Click/Tap on the “Check Eligibility” button
- Enter your IC and submit
- If the “Penghargaan Sara” program shows “Layak”, you’re eligible.
If you’re eligible but the status shows you’re not, you can appeal by dropping an email to [email protected].
If the Balance is showing RM0.00, don’t panic as the programme will only start from 31st August 2025. You have until 31st December 2025 to utilise the RM100 cash aid.
From this page, you can click on “Senarai Kedai” to get the list of participating supermarkets for redemption.
If you’re eligible for the normal SARA program aka Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR), the status and balance will be displayed here too.
According to the FAQ, this one-off RM100 SARA is given to Malaysian citizens with MyKad who are aged 18 years and above in 2025.
How and where to redeem the SARA RM100 Cash Aid?
The RM100 SARA Cash Aid can only be used to purchase essential goods and necessities from the 14 designated categories at over 7,300 participating stores throughout Malaysia. There are over 90,000 items that are eligible under the SARA programme.
When it comes to make a payment, go to the designated Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) counters and present your MyKad for verification. After all items have been scanned, you’ll need to use your MyKad to pay and enter your 6-digit PIN.
If this is your first time, the default 6-digit PIN is the first 6 digits on your IC (e.g. 801231-XX-XXXX). If you’ve changed your PIN, use the updated number.
Do note that you don’t have to spend RM100 one shot as the unused balance will be carried over to the following month. You have until 31st December 2025 to utilise your RM100 SARA cash aid.
