Gentari has turned on a new DC charger located about 7km before the Bentong Toll Plaza on Karak highway. Located at Petronas Bentong R&R, this is among the legacy ChargEV 22kW AC charge points which has been decommissioned two years ago.
This DC charger serves as a vital EV top-up location as it seems to be the only functional DC charger along Karak highway from Gombak to Bentong.
For this location, Gentari has deployed a DC charger with two CCS2 nozzles. It looks like there’s some power constraints as the charger is currently configured to push up to 40kW in dynamic mode.
This means a single EV can get up to 40kW but the power will split to 20kW if two EVs are plugged in at the same time.
This DC Charger is currently priced at RM1.50 per kWh. If you have a Gentari Go Power Pass membership, this charger will cost you RM0.75 per kWh.
Besides the Petronas station and its convenience store, the location also has several F&B options including KFC and Tealive.
Earlier this year, TNB Electron has revealed plans to deploy a 200kW DC Charger at BHPetrol Karak.
