After a series of teasers, Nothing has finally announced that its upcoming flagship smartphone, the Nothing Phone (3), will be making its launch on the 2nd of July, 2025, at 1AM (Malaysian time). Said to be Nothing’s first true flagship smartphone, the Phone (3) is expected to carry high-end specs, as well as a fresh design.

Nothing Phone (3) to abandon Glyph Interface for new LED matrix rear display?

On the 29th of May, Nothing made a post announcing that it had “killed” the Glyph Interface — a rear lighting design that’s been with Nothing over its past two generations of flagship phones.

In the Phone (3)’s launch date announcement post, Nothing attached a video that shows what seems to be an alien-like pixel art displayed through an LED matrix display. Could this be what we’re getting on the Nothing Phone (3)’s back, replacing the Glyph Interface?

Back in 16th of May, Nothing made a post with pixel art of two Pokémon characters — Elekid and Arbok. That post might not have made much sense when it was first published, but now it seems like a subtle teaser, hinting at a matrix-style rear display or LED-based customisation coming to the Nothing Phone (3).

Speaking of LED matrix displays, Asus is certainly one of the brands to comes to mind. Its ROG Phone 9 series of gaming smartphones all come with LED matrix displays on their backs that can not only display information such as the time, but also allow users to play mini games on them.

With the Nothing Phone (3), one major difference we expect to see with its LED matrix rear display is a transparent back, which should help make the phone look even cooler than its competition.

Nothing Phone (3) to sport Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, battery larger than 5,000mAh?

As revealed by Nothing’s CEO, Carl Pei, through Google’s “The Android Show: I/O Edition”, the Phone (3) will come with “premium materials, major performance upgrades, and software that really level things up”. Its price is also said to be set around GBP 800 (~RM4,590).

New leaks are giving us a clearer picture of the Nothing Phone (3)’s price range, as reported by Android Central. The flagship Nothing Phone is said to feature two configurations — 12GB+256GB and 16GB+512GB, with prices expected to start from EUR 850 (~RM4,115), along with White and Black colourways.

Furthermore, the Nothing Phone (3) is also reported to feature Qualcomm’s latest and greatest mobile chip — the Snapdragon 8 Elite, and a battery that’s larger than 5,000mAh.

Nothing to also launch its first over-ear headphones?

The same source that reported on the Nothing Phone (3)’s pricing has also added that Nothing will be launching its first over-ear headphones, allegedly named the Nothing Headphone (1). Said to be priced around EUR 300 (~RM1,452), these headphones are also expected to be offered in either White or Black.
