Kineta and Charge+ have announced a new partnership that will leverage the strength of both companies to help strengthen Malaysia’s EV charging infrastructure. The official signing ceremony took place earlier today at Kineta’s booth in conjunction with the ongoing Malaysia Autoshow 2025.

Based in Singapore, Charge+ already have more than 3,000 charging points in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Cambodia. Being a Singaporean company, most of the chargers are located in Singapore.

However, Charge+ is already working to grow its EV charging network in Malaysia. Under the new partnership, Kineta which is a subsidiary of Sime Group, will assist Charge+ to deploy their EV chargers in Malaysia.

In general, Charge+ will not only leverage Kineta’s technical expertise but also its local know-how, including regulations. Interestingly enough, the new partnership will also see Kineta and Charge+ pursue joint participation in selected large-scale tenders in Malaysia and across the region.

Meanwhile, we were also told that EV charging roaming between Charge+ and Kineta networks is in the pipeline as well. However, there is no confirmed timeline at the moment.
