Honda Malaysia has started accepting bookings for the e:N 1 EV. This is the brand’s first official EV in Malaysia and it is essentially the fully electrified version of the Honda HR-V.

The Honda e:N 1 is set to launch in Q2 2025 and Malaysians can place a pre-booking by placing a RM99 fee on Honda Malaysia’s website.

However, take note that the Honda e:N 1 pre-booking is only offered at 8 Honda dealerships as listed below:

  • Selangor – Accord Auto
  • Selangor – HZN Cars
  • KL – Peringgi Sri Motor
  • Selangor – Tiong Nam Motor
  • Perak – Ban Hoe Seng Auto
  • Penang – Vivahill Auto
  • Negeri Sembilan – Ban Lee Heng Motor
  • Johor – Kah Motor Co. (Tebrau)

At the time of writing, Honda Malaysia has yet to provide any indicative pricing for the e:N 1 EV.

The Honda e:N 1 goes head to head with popular 5-seater electric SUVs like the Proton e.MAS 7, BYD Atto 3 and Chery Omoda E5. It comes with a single motor driving the front wheels, pushing 150kW (201hp) and 310Nm of torque. It comes with a 68.8kWh Lithium Ion battery and it has a NEDC-rated range of up to 500km on a single charge.

According to the UK spec sheet, this fully electric SUV can do 0 to 100km/h in 7.6 seconds up to a top speed of 160km/h. For a more realistic range figure, the EV has a WLTP-rated range of up to 412km on a single charge.

In terms of charging, the UK spec e:N 1 comes with a 11kW three-phase AC onboard charger and it also supports DC fast charging of up to 77kW. 10-80% charging via DC takes about 45 minutes while AC takes approximately 6 hours for a full charge.

In terms of safety, e:N1 is equipped with Blind Spot Information (BSI) with Cross Traffic Monitor (CTM), and the full suite of nine advanced safety functions under Honda Sensing. The EV will be offered with 18” dual-tone alloy wheels as standard.
