Sony has just launched its latest entry-level noise-cancelling true wireless earbuds, the Sony WF-C710N. It replaces the WF-C700N from 2023, and is ranked under the LinkBuds S and WF-1000XM5 in Sony’s wireless earbuds lineup.

Currently, Sony is offering a RM100 discount for the WF-C710N, reducing its asking price to RM399. It’s unknown how long this promotion will last, though. For context, the last-gen WF-C700N has a retail price of RM549.
Back to the new WF-710N, it’s available in four colour options: Black, White, Pink, and a Nothing-esque transparent Blue.

Sony WF-C710N Malaysia: Specs and features
Sony describes the WF-C710N as a pair of true wireless earbuds that sport everything listeners need in a small and affordable design. It’s equipped with a 5mm driver and comes with a touchpad, allowing you to play, pause, skip through tracks, or even adjust the volume by just tapping the earbuds.
The WF-C710N works with Sony’s Sound Connect app, which comes with a customisable EQ, and also allows you to adjust the earbuds’ active noise cancellation (ANC) feature, as well as its 20 levels of ambient sound mode settings. Sony says noise cancellation on the WF-C710N has been improved over its predecessor, utilising its Dual Noise Sensor technology.
Furthermore, the Japanese tech giant claims that you can enjoy crystal-clear calls using the WF-C710N even in noisy environments. This is thanks to its voice pickup tech that’s been developed with AI machine learning using over 500 million voice samples to suppress ambient noise and extract users’ voices clearly.
Connectivity is handled by Bluetooth 5.3, and with Sony’s multipoint connection, you can pair the WF-C710N with up to two devices at the same time.
Battery life-wise, the Sony WF-C710N is said to be capable of lasting up to 8.5 hours of music playback when ANC is on, and 12 hours with ANC off. Together with the charging case, battery life is rated at up to 30 hours in a single charge.
Sony WH-CH720N & WH-CH520 gain new colour options
Aside from launching the WF-C710N, Sony Malaysia has also added a new Pastel Pink colour option to the Sony WH-CH720N and WH-CH520, with the latter model also gaining a new Yellow colourway.
