The Nothing Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro have officially launched in Malaysia with pre-orders to start tomorrow. These are Nothing’s premium mid-range devices and they are the brand’s first smartphones to come with telephoto cameras.
Despite the upgraded build materials and camera array, Nothing has maintained the same pricing as the previous Nothing Phone (2a) and (2a) Plus.
Nothing Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro Malaysia Price
The Nothing Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro are offered only in a single RAM and storage variant, and here’s the official pricing in Malaysia:
- Nothing Phone (3a) 12GB + 256GB – RM1,699
- Nothing Phone (3a) Pro 12GB + 256GB – RM1,999
The Nothing Phone (3a) comes in 3 colours – White, Black and Blue, while the Pro version comes in Grey and Black.
Pre-orders for the devices will start tomorrow, on 8th March 2025 and you can order from the official store on Lazada and Shopee. The Nothing Phone (3a) will be available for open sale in Malaysia on 22nd March, while the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro will be available from 7th April.
Nothing is also offering pre-order gifts which include a Nothing Crossbody Bag, Nothing Sticker, Phone case, CMF Buds, 1-year extended warranty and 1-year screen crack warranty.
Nothing Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro Malaysia Specs and Features
The Nothing Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro are mostly identical except for the camera array. Both come with a 6.77″ Full HD+ 120Hz AMOLED panel that pushes a peak brightness of 3000 nits and a 2160Hz PWM dimming rate.
Under the hood, both devices are running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 5G platform that’s paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
As mentioned earlier, these are the first Nothing Phone to come with a triple-camera setup. The standard Nothing Phone (3a) features a 50MP main camera with 1/1.57″ sensor and OIS, and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a 1/4″ sensor. The third lens is a 50MP telephoto camera with a 1/2.75″ sensor that offers 2x optical zoom (4x in-sensor zoom) and it can push up to 30x Ultra zoom. For selfies, it comes with a 32MP front camera that uses a 1/3.44″ sensor.
For the Pro model, it gets a a 50MP main camera with a 1/1.57″ sensor and OIS, along with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a 1/4″ sensor. However, the standout feature is the 50MP periscope telephoto camera with OIS that uses a larger 1/1.95″ Sony sensor. The telephoto shooter offers 3x optical zoom (6x lossless zoom) that can push up to 60x Ultra Zoom. In addition, the selfie camera on the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro offers a higher resolution of 50MP.
The new Nothing Phone (3a) series feature a new Essential Key which allows users to capture and save important content such as screenshots or voice notes and it will be organised with the help of AI. Users can view their captured content by simply double pressing the button to bring up Essential Space. Using AI, it will display summary of your content and it can also set reminders if it detects an event or a time-based booking.
Both Nothing Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro are powered by a 5,000mAh battery which is rated to last up to 26 hours of YouTube playback. The devices support 50W fast wired charging via USB-C, however, there’s no wireless charging support.
