Ahead of the Chinese New Year holiday season, Gentari has turned on a 120kW DC Charger at BYD Taiping. There are now a total of 4 EV fast charging locations in Taiping and the latest charger is currently one of the most powerful in town.
For this location, Gentari has installed a 120kW DC charger with two CCS2 nozzles in front of the BYD dealership operated by Goh Brothers. Similar to other Gentari locations, the chargers are priced at RM1.50 per kWh.
If you have an annual Gentari Go membership, you can enjoy a 50% off rate of just RM0.75 per kWh.
This location is Gentari’s first EV charger in Perak’s second biggest town. Other alternative DC chargers include JomCharge’s 90kW DC Charger at Taman Tasik Commercial Centre (RM1.50 per kWh), JomCharge’s 50kW 50kW DC Charger at Legend Inn Hotel (RM1.50 per kWh) and TNB Electron’s 47kW DC Charger at Aeon Mall Taiping (RM1.35/kWh).
If you’re heading Southbound via West Coast Expressway (WCE), there’s a DC Handal 400kW DC Charging hub at WCE Taiping Selatan Toll Plaza. This location has 4 covered charging bays and the chargers are priced at RM1.50 per kWh.
