Sime Motors AutoArena: Get free solar system with selected pre-owned EVs

Sime Motors AutoArena opened its doors yesterday and has made its mark as the first automotive event held right inside the National Stadium Bukit Jalil. Various electric vehicle brands under Sime Motors are involved in the 3-day event including BMW, BMW Motorrad, BYD, Hyundai, Jaguar, and Volvo.

Sime Motors has also announced its new partnership with Perbadanan Stadium Malaysia (PSM), which will lead to the establishment of an EV charging hub at the National Stadium Bukit Jalil. The company will also provide the caretaker of the national sporting venues with EVs that they can use as part of their operations for the next 24 months.

The event is not just about new vehicles, though. Sime Motors Auto Selection is also there with plenty of pre-owned EVs to choose from. Below are what we’ve discovered during our time there.  

Selected Hyundai and Jaguar EVs get free home solar system and EV chargers

One of the best deals at the Sime Motors AutoArena goes to the Hyundai Ioniq 5 Max AWD which is being offered at RM143,888. As a comparison, the retail price for this particular variant of Ioniq 5 in Malaysia is RM270,408.

What really sweetens up this deal is the fact that customers will also be provided with a 4.64kWp home solar system, a 22kW Wallbox Pulsar Plus 3-phase AC charger, and an extended warranty. These freebies are said to have a total value of RM45,000.

The same offer is also available to pre-owned Hyundai Ioniq 6 Max RWD which is priced at RM148,888. Not to forget, you are entitled to the freebies if you pick the Hyundai Ioniq 6 Max AWD that is being offered at the event for RM168,888.

Meanwhile, the free home solar system and AC charger offer is also available to Jaguar I-Pace. However, we were told customers who are interested in getting their hands on a pre-owned I-Pace have to personally come to AutoArena to obtain further details as the on-ground staff were not allowed to reveal the I-Pace pre-owned pricing to the media.

That being said, we noticed that there are several used I-Pace units currently listed on Jaguar Malaysia’s website for under RM300,000.  So, you may want to use that as a guide.
