Yes 5G’s wireless broadband plan has just received a free upgrade for its 4G quota. This is great news for users who residing in areas without 5G coverage as they can now enjoy more 4G quota at no extra charge.
Yes 5G Wireless Broadband is a great alternative for users who need high-speed internet but can’t get access to fibre broadband. For less than RM100 per month, the 5G broadband plan provides uncapped speeds and no FUP, and it is possible to get over 200-300Mbps subject to Digital Nasional Berhad’s 5G coverage.
According to the FAQ, the 4G data upgrade from 150GB to 500GB takes effect today 13th December 2024 but this seems to be applicable only to their 12-month and 24-month contract plans.
To recap, Yes 5G offers uncapped 5G data and uncapped speed for RM99/month and it comes bundled with free Infinite Gateway Pro Router (worth RM1,199) on a 24-month contract. For existing Yes 5G postpaid customers, you can enjoy the 24-month contract plan at a discounted rate of just RM75/month.
There’s also a shorter 12-month contract option which also costs RM99/month but you’ll have to pay RM299 upfront for the Infinite Gateway Pro Router.
The contract-less flexi option which doesn’t come with a 5G router only costs RM58/month. The plan still offers uncapped 5G data and uncapped speed, but it only comes with 100GB of 4G quota.
If you want to give Yes 5G Wireless Broadband a try, the telco is offering a 7 days return policy. There are terms and condition apply which include no service or slow connection, and usage of not more than 10GB for 4G+5G.
