Remember Meizu? This Chinese electronics company has just made its comeback in Malaysia after being dormant for years by launching three new smartphones via its new exclusive distributor, Swap Asia.
The new smartphones launched by Meizu include the Meizu Note 21, the Meizu Note 21 Pro, and the Meizu Mblu 21. Its flagship smartphone, the Meizu 21, which made its Malaysian market debut in March this year, also got a price reduction. More on that later.
Meizu Note 21 Malaysia price and specs
Available for RM549 here in Malaysia, the Meizu Note 21 is available in three shades, namely Titan Blue, Titan Black, and Angel White. Specs-wise, it’s fitted with a 6.74-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and is powered by the Unisoc T606 chipset.
Handling photos and videos is a 50MP main camera on the rear, along with an 8MP selfie shooter. The Meizu Note 21 is also equipped with a 6,000mAh battery and can be charged via USB-C at 18W.
Meizu Note 21 Pro Malaysia price and specs
Aside from the Meizu Note 21, Meizu has also launched the Meizu Note 21 Pro in Malaysia, which can be yours for RM699. Available in either Hawkeye Blue, Black, or White, the Meizu Note 21 Pro sports a 6.78-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, along with a Mediatek G99 SoC.
In the imaging department, you get a 64MP main camera and a 2MP depth camera at the rear, along with a 13MP selfie shooter. Powering the Meizu Note 21 Pro is a 5,000mAh battery that can be topped up via USB-C at 30W.
Meizu Mblu 21 Malaysia price and specs
Last but not least, we have the Meizu Mblu 21. Sporting the lowest price tag among the three, it features a RM399 price tag and can be had with three colour options, Oceanic Blue, Pearl White, and Stellar Black.
Featuring a 6.79-inch HD IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, the Mblu 21 sports the Unisoc T606 chipset at its core. On the camera side of things, you get a 13MP main camera on the rear and a 8MP selfie shooter. There’s also a 4,900mAh battery underneath its hood.
Meizu 21 gets price cut, starts from RM1,999
Aside from launching the three new mid-range and entry-level smartphones mentioned above, the brand’s flagship smartphone, the Meizu 21, can now be had at lower prices.
Launched in Malaysia in March this year, the Meizu 21 featured an introductory price tag of RM2,999. However, that’s been lowered to just RM1,999, which gets you the 256GB variant. The 512GB variant on the other hand can be had for RM2,299.
Specs-wise, the Meizu 21 features a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, mated to 12GB of RAM.
Flip the phone around and you will find a triple rear camera setup, which includes a 200MP f/1.7 main sensor, a 13MP f/2.4 ultrawide, and a 5MP f/2.4 depth sensor. The Meizu 21 also comes with a neat design trick called the Dynamic Ring, an RGB ring around the bottom camera lens that flashes different colours for notifications, incoming calls, charging status, and more.
As for its battery, the Meizu 21 is equipped with a 4,800mAh cell, which can be charged via USB-C at 80W. The phone is also dust and splash-resistant thanks to its IP54 rating and is available in either Infinite Black, Dynamic Purple, or Meizu White.
