The Honor X9c 5G is coming to Malaysia very soon and Honor Malaysia has revealed more details of its device replacement policy for greater peace of mind. According to Honor, they are offering the industry’s first Triple Assurance programme which aims to provide comprehensive protection for their toughest mid-range smartphone yet.

Last year’s Honor X9b 5G is said to be one of the toughest mid-range smartphones and the upcoming X9c 5G succeeds that with greater protection. The upcoming device will feature a next-generation “Anti-Drop” Display which is engineered to withstand accidental drops from heights of up to 2 metres. On top of that, it also has been upgraded with improved water resistance and enhanced scratch resistance.

Honor hasn’t revealed any IP-rating for water resistance but it claims to have tested the device to reach IP65M standards. It added that the Honor X9c has also passed the 3-minute washing test.

To provide users with greater assurance about its durability, the Honor X9c 5G in Malaysia will come with a 365-day front and back crack replacement. If there are any major issues, they also offer a 180-day one-to-one replacement policy. This means, Honor will provide you with a new device instead of repairing your faulty unit, subject to its terms and conditions. According to the fine print, the 180-day one-to-one replacement is only valid for purchases made until 15th December 2024.

A smartphone can typically last for several years thanks to extended operating system and security updates. However, the original battery life may be reduced significantly after the warranty period. To ensure users can continue to use their smartphones with optimal battery life, Honor Malaysia will offer a 36-month battery assurance programme. If your Honor X9c’s battery suffers major degradation during the 3-year period, Honor will replace the battery under its programme, which is beyond the typical 1-year smartphone warranty.

According to Honor, its current Honor X9b 5G is Malaysia’s best-selling mid-range smartphone priced under RM1,200 in 2024. It is confident that its successor will raise the bar as it is equipped with improved features along with triple defence and triple assurance.

Honor Malaysia will reveal the official launch date soon through their official Facebook page.

To recap, the Honor X9b was launched at RM1,499 in Malaysia and it features a 6.78″ 120Hz Full HD+ AMOLED display powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip. It comes equipped with a triple-camera setup which includes a 108MP main camera, a 5MP ultra-wide shooter and a 2MP macro lens. Powering the device is a generous 5,800mAh battery which supports 35W SuperCharge.
