You can now pre-order the PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection in Malaysia through authorised PlayStation dealers nationwide. While the release details were announced yesterday, the pricing was only revealed once the pre-order began this morning.
PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection Malaysia pricing
In Malaysia, only four out of five products within the collection will be released here. Here’s how much they cost:
- PlayStation 5 Slim Digital Edition 30th Anniversary Bundle – RM2,299
- PlayStation 5 DualSense 30th Anniversary Edition – RM399
- PlayStation 5 DualSense Edge 30th Anniversary Edition – RM1,099
- PlayStation Portal Remote Player 30th Anniversary Edition – RM1,099
In case you are wondering, the price of the PlayStation 30th Anniversary products is slightly higher than that of their standard counterparts. As a comparison, here’s the price list:
- PlayStation 5 Slim Digital Edition: RM2,069
- PlayStation 5 DualSense: RM369
- PlayStation 5 DualSense Edge: RM999
- PlayStation Portal Remote Player: RM999
Meanwhile, SIE has decided to make the PS5 Pro bundle exclusive to Singapore for this region. Gamers in Malaysia have to settle for the standard PS5 Pro which is also available for pre-order today at RM3,849.
Where to pre-order the PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection in Malaysia?
In general, you can pre-order the PlayStation 30the Anniversary Collection at authorised PlayStation retailers as listed on PlayStation Malaysia’s website. However, the availability varies from one retailer to another as the collection can only be obtained at selected retailers.
For example, Sony Store Malaysia does not offer the collection through its online store and customers have to visit its physical outlet at Lalaport or The Curve to pre-order. In addition to that, each customer is allowed to pre-order only one item from the collection.
The limited edition nature of the PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection means stocks were flying off the shelves rapidly. When we came to Sony Store LaLaport at around 10:40 AM to personally obtain the price list mentioned earlier, the PS5 Slim bundle was already out of stock and the staff noted to us that there was already a queue outside of the store before it was opened.
Several authorised PlayStation retailers such as M4G, CK Multimedia, and Alfa Game Centre have already sold out all of their stock allocation for the collection. Hence, it is highly possible that the PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection will be sold out way ahead of its release in Malaysia on 21 November.
