Huawei Malaysia has officially launched the MatePad Pro 12.2. This is their latest flagship large-screen tablet offering with an impressive Tandem OLED display and a unique matte finish to take on the likes of the latest iPad Pro.

Pre-orders for the MatePad Pro 12.2 is now available until 11th October 2024. Buyers will get extra freebies worth up to RM1,847 which include a Huawei Glide Keyboard, M-Pencil (3rd Gen) and Huawei Bluetooth Mouse.

Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2 Malaysia Specs and Features
The Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2 features a 12.2″ Tandom OLED FullView Display with a nano-scale PaperMatte coating which reduces screen reflections while ensuring visuals remain clear under direct sunlight. The screen pushes a 2.8K resolution of 2800×1840 pixels with a 144Hz refresh rate while boasting a peak brightness of 2,000 nits and an ultra-high contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1.
The rear of the tablet gets a Golden silk design which aims to mimic the organic feel of silk fabric. Overall, the MatePad Pro 12.2 weighs 508 grams and is only 5.5mm thin.
While Huawei doesn’t specify the processor, it is believed to be running on a Kirin 9000S chip mated with 12GB of RAM. For imaging, the rear gets an 13MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter, while the front comes with a Smart sensing 16MP camera.
For a PC-like productivity experience, you can pair the MatePad Pro 12.2 with the Glide Keyboard which comes with a trackpad. The keyboard weighs 450g and it also provides a slot to store the M-Pencil stylus.When attached, both the tablet and keyboard weighs just under one kg.
The 3rd gen M-Pencil powered by NearLink supports over 10,000 levels of pressure sensing. For a smoother and expansive drawing experience, the tablet boasts FangTian Painting Engine 2.0 which supports 8K canvases, over 500 layers and a 120fps high frame rate. With the Huawei GoPaint app, artists can get access to unique drawing tools and effects which include our local Batik Drawing tools developed in collaboration with Akademi Seni Budaya and Warisan Kebangsaan.
The tablet gets a quad-speaker setup along with four microphones. Powering the tablet is a massive 10,100mAh battery (dual cell 5,050mAh) which can support 100W fast wired charging. According to Huawei, the tablet is capable of charging up to 85% in 40 minutes or up to 100% in 55 minutes.
