Following the release of Oppo A3 Pro 5G and A3x in our market earlier this year, Oppo Malaysia has just added the A3 to its 2024 A Series family. Just like its two other siblings, the A3 still offers durability and affordability as its main attractions.
Oppo A3 Malaysia pricing
In Malaysia, the Oppo A3 can obtained in two different variants:
- Oppo A3 8GB / 128GB: RM699
- Oppo A3 8GB / 256GB: RM799
Comes in Starlight White and Sparkle Black, only the 128GB variant is readily available in our market. The 256GB model will only be released at a later time even though Oppo has confirmed its official pricing in Malaysia.
Oppo A3 is essentially an upgraded version of A3x
If you feel the new Oppo A3 looked so similar to the A3x, your observations are quite on point. Based on their specs, the A3 seems like an upgraded version of the A3x.
Let’s start with their similarities: both A3 and A3x are equipped with a 6.67-inch HD+ LCD display that also has a 90Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 1000 nits. These 4G phones are also running on the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen1 processor.
Furthermore, they are powered by the same 5100mAh battery. With the help of 45W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging technology, the phone only requires 30 minutes of charging time to get its battery from empty to 50%.
Not only that they have the same physical design and dimensions, but both A3 and A3x have also been designed to withstand MIL-STD 810H military-grade shock resistance test and SGS certification. In addition to that, they are also IP54-certified devices.
What made the A3 different from the A3x is its rear camera which features a 50MP sensor although it still carries a flicker sensor and 5MP front camera just like the A3x. At the same time, the A3 also has more RAM at 8GB as opposed to the A3x which maxes out at 6GB.
