Driving to Kelantan with an EV? There’s a new 180kW DC charger deployed by Gentari located at Pasir Pekan and it is currently the fastest EV charger in Kelantan. With this latest deployment, there’s now a total of 6 public DC fast-charging locations around Kota Bharu.
Gentari 180kW DC Charger at Petronas Pasir Pekan
Gentari’s new 180kW DC Charger is located at Petronas Pasir Pekan which is about 5 minutes away from the centre of Kota Bharu city. The location uses an ABB DC Charger with two CCS2 nozzles.
Similar to other Gentari DC Charging sites, these EV fast chargers are priced at RM1.50 per kWh. You can activate and pay for the charging session via the Gentari Go, JomCharge, Setel and ChargEV app.
If you have an annual Gentari Go membership, these chargers would only cost you RM0.75 per kWh.
More DC Chargers deployed at Kota Bharu
Compared to Kuala Terengganu which currently only has one DC Charger located at Mydin Gong Badak, we are seeing more DC chargers being deployed in the capital city of Kelantan.
Gentari has deployed 60kW DC Chargers with two CCS2 nozzles at Hotel Perdana and Proton 3S JM Otomobil Inovatif. Meanwhile, ChargeSini has a 60kW DC Charger (two CCS2 nozzles) at Mydin Kubang Kerian. TNB Electron has recently deployed a 47kW DC Charger (two CCS2 nozzles) at Aeon Mall Kota Bharu.
For EV owners travelling to Kota Bharu via the Gua Musang route, there’s also a Gentari 47kW DC Charger with two CCS2 nozzles deployed at Hentian Gua Musang.
