OnePlus’ latest premium-midrange device, the OnePlus Nord 4, has been announced for Malaysia. The device is now available for pre-order in the country until 30th August 2024.

OnePlus Nord 4 Malaysia pricing and promo

The OnePlus Nord 4 is priced at RM2,599 here in Malaysia on the brand’s E-Store, as well as official Lazada and Shopee stores. Customers who pre-order the device will get a 100W SuperVooc wall adapter worth RM199. For those who pre-order via E-store, Direct D, or OnePlus Brand stores will be entitled to an additional RM100 discount as well.

Slimmest and brightness OnePlus Nord device

The OnePlus Nord 4 features a front glass panel, along with what OnePlus calls “aircraft-grade” aluminium unibody. This results in the slimmest Nord device the company has ever made, measuring 7.99mm. The OnePlus Nord 4 is also claimed to be the only metal unibody 5G smartphone on the market, at least in regions where OnePlus sells its products.

At the face of the OnePlus Nord 4 is a 6.74″ 120Hz AMOLED display with a resolution of 2772 x 1240p, along with Ultra HDR support. With a peak brightness of 2,150 nits, this panel is the brightest 120Hz OLED ever fitted onto a OnePlus Nord device.

Guaranteed fast and smooth performance for 6 years

Under the hood of the OnePlus Nord 4 in Malaysia is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 system-on-a-chip (SoC) with the Adreno 732 GPU, paired with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of internal storage.

With this setup, OnePlus says that you can play Battlegrounds Mobile for five hours without lag. The Nord 4 has also been rated “A” for six years of system fluency, where the device is promised to stay fast and smooth.

Rear Sony cameras with AI

OnePlus has fitted the Nord 4 with a dual camera setup at the back. This consists of a 50MP, f/1.8 Sony-supplied camera with a 1/1.95″ sensor, capable of filming videos at up to 4K 60fps.

Right beside the 50MP sensor is an 8MP, f/2.2 ultra-wide camera, also supplied by Sony, with a 122° field of view. Flip the phone around and you will find a 16MP, f/2.4 front camera for you to take selfies with.

OnePlus has also integrated its AI technology to help you take better photos. For instance, there is the AI Best Face feature which helps fix photo imperfections such as subjects with closed eyes. There is also AI Clear Face which aids with fixing blurred faces.

5,500mAh battery with 100W charging

The OnePlus Nord 4 supplies power through a 5,500mAh battery pack. OnePlus says this allows the Nord 4 to play YouTube content for up to 17 hours, run Call of Duty:Mobile for up to 10.6 hours, and be used for GPS navigation for up to 11.5 hours. OnePlus is also promising four years of peak battery capacity.

When the battery pack runs flat, you can charge it at up to 100W thanks to the SuperVooc fast charge technology. The company even claims that with five minutes of charge, you can enjoy five hours of Netflix with the OnePlus Nord 4.

6 years of promised software updates

The OnePlus Nord 4 runs on OxygenOS 14.1, which is built on top of Android 14. The device is promised to receive four years of major Android OS updates, along with six years of security updates.
