Samsung Malaysia is offering its customers a chance to have their pictures featured on its billboards around major cities in Malaysia with its Made with Portrait Studio contest. Interested? All you have to do is, between 31st July and 30th August 2024:
- Visit any Samsung Experience Store (SES)
- Capture your portrait with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 or Z Flip 6 and generate your Portrait Studio Picture with Portrait Studio
- Post your portrait on your Facebook, Instagram feed, Twitter, or TikTok, and ensure your profile is visible to the public
- Tag @SamsungMalaysia with the hashtag #MadewithPortraitStudio & #GalaxyAI in your caption
A total of 50 Portrait Studio pictures will be selected on a weekly basis during the campaign period. The selected participants will receive a notification via direct message from Samsung and will have their pictures featured on the brand’s billboards around major cities in Malaysia.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 quick specs
Just in case you missed its launch, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is the Korean electronics giant’s latest flagship foldable phone. Despite looking largely similar to its predecessor, it now sports a larger Larger 6.3” HD+ 120Hz AMOLED cover display. Inside, it continues to get a 7.6” QXGA (2160×1856 pixels resolution) Infinity Flex AMOLED panel which is now brighter than before at a whopping 2,600 nits.
Powering the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 system-on-a-chip (SoC) with 12GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. It also gets a vapour chamber that’s now 1.6x larger than before.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6’s camera setup has been unchanged from its predecessor, featuring a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle shooter, and a 10MP telephoto camera. Inside, there’s a 4MP under-display camera, while the cover gets a 10MP selfie shooter.
To keep the Galaxy Z Fold 6 safe from water damage, the device is IP48-rated, making it dust and water resistant for up to 1.5m deep and 30 minutes long. Charging the Galaxy Z Fold 6 can be done at 25W via a supported charging cable, and 15W using a wireless charging pad.
Samsung’s latest flagship foldable phone runs on the brand’s One UI 6.1 on top of Android 14. Taking centre stage is Samsung’s new Galaxy AI capabilities, made possible by Google’s Gemini AI. Aside from the AI features found in the Galaxy S24 series, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 also gets additional features such as a dual-screen live translation mode when the device is in stand mode and Generative AI features that can transform your sketches into completed images.
Prices for the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 start from RM7,299 for the 256GB storage variant and top out at RM9,099 for the 1TB storage variant.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 quick specs
Alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Samsung also updated its Z Flip lineup with the Galaxy Z Flip 6. Like the previous-gen Z Flip 5, this new clamshell-style foldable phone sports a 3.4” 60Hz Super AMOLED cover display on the outside, and a 6.7” 120Hz Full HD+ Infinity Flex AMOLED display on the inside with a tall 22:9 aspect ratio.
At the heart of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, with more RAM at 12GB, and up to 512GB of storage. For the first time in a Z Flip device, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is equipped with a vapour chamber for better thermal performance.
Camera-wise, the new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip now gets a higher resolution 50MP main camera which is said to offer 2x optical quality zoom. There is also a 12MP ultra-wide angle shooter brought over from the last-gen Z Flip 5.
What’s still missing from the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 is a dedicated telephoto camera. Want to take selfies? Open the phone up and you will find a 10MP selfie camera on the inside.
Like the Z Fold 6, the new Galaxy Z Flip 6 is IP48 rated, making it protected against dust and water at up to 1.5m of depth for 30 minutes.
Charging the Z Flip 6 can be done via 25W using a supported charging cable, and 15W using a wireless charging pad. To support its extra horsepower, the Z Flip 6 now features a larger 4,000mAh battery.
Samsung’s new Generative AI features are present in the Z Flip 6 as well, which can assist you with composing messages, performing live translations, removing unwanted objects from your photos and so on.
