It started with just a simple teaser by Google Malaysia this morning but multiple parties have since then confirmed that Google Pixel 9 devices are officially coming to our market. In addition to announcements from CelcomDigi and Maxis, consumers will also be able to get their hands on the new Pixel devices via selected retailers.
Urban Republic is ready to welcome the Pixel era
Since Google has not yet put up an official Malaysian website for Pixel smartphones, the exact number of official retailers is not yet known. That being said, we do know one of them is Urban Republic since the retailer was the one that confirmed to us regarding Google’s plan to release Pixel smartphones into our market before today’s announcement.
While the Google section on its online shop is still out of commission, Urban Republic has since set up a mini-site for the public to register their interest. The retailer did not mention when customers can purchase Pixel 9 devices but a teaser video on Urban Republic’s Facebook page seemed to indicate that the order book will likely be opened on 14 August.
Pixel 9 will be available from Senheng and senQ too
Meanwhile, the teaser video has also appeared on Senheng’s Facebook page. Naturally, the Facebook page of its sister brand, senQ also has the same teaser video as well.
Just like Urban Republic, none of these brands have released any details regarding Pixel 9 series devices such as specs or pricing. Similarly, both of them asked users to tune in on 14 August to learn more information regarding the release of Pixel 9 in Malaysia.
If you are considering getting your hands on the new Pixel smartphone from these retailers, you may want to register your interest at the dedicated sections that Senheng and senQ have set up on their websites.
