Google Pixel 9 Malaysia: CelcomDigi opens registration of interest

After so many years, Google Pixel will finally be officially available in Malaysia. Earlier today, Google Malaysia put up a Pixel 9 Pro teaser although the true confirmation only came from other parties, including telcos such as CelcomDigi.

CelcomDigi today has officially confirmed that the Google Pixel 9 series is coming to Malaysia very soon through its social media pages such as X and Facebook. So far, the only other telco that has made a similar announcement is Maxis.

However, the CelcomDigi did not reveal any in-depth details regarding the Pixel 9 availability in Malaysia. All essential information regarding Google’s new flagship smartphone series, including rollout date, variants, plans, and pricing, are still under wraps.

The telco did hint in its social media postings that everything will be revealed on 14 August:

The date is rather significant given that Google will be having a special event at its Mountain View headquarters on that very day to launch the Pixel 9 series devices. Hence, it seems quite likely that CelcomDigi will begin accepting orders for Pixel 9 devices right on the global launch day.

The registration of interest website that CelcomDigi has set up for the Pixel 9 series, as captured at 2:45PM today.

If you are interested in getting your hands on Pixel 9 devices through CelcomDigi, you can register your interest through the dedicated website that the telco has set up right here.
