The Samsung Galaxy Watch FE has finally arrived in Malaysia. Released in Korea last month, the Galaxy Watch FE is Samsung’s most affordable smartwatch model at the moment and it is significantly cheaper than the Apple Watch SE.
Samsung Galaxy Watch FE Malaysia Price
The Samsung Galaxy Watch FE is officially priced at RM799 in Malaysia and is now available on their official online store. The smartwatch is offered in 3 colours – Pink Gold, Black and Silver.
As part of its introductory offer which runs until 31st August 2024, you can get RM150 off the Galaxy Watch FE if you purchase it as a combo with selected Galaxy smartphones. The list of eligible smartphones includes the Galaxy A35 5G and if you get this combo, it will cost you RM2,348 including an additional free Galaxy Fit 3.
Samsung Galaxy Watch FE Specs and Features
The Galaxy Watch FE only comes in 4mm size which features a 1.2″ Super AMOLED full colour always-on display that pushes a resolution of 396×296 pixels. It even gets Sapphire Crystal glass which makes it pretty durable against typical day to day abuses. Powering the Watch is a dual-core Exynos W920 chip with 1.5GB RAM and 16GB of storage.
It features a Samsung BioActive sensor which includes an optical heart rate, electrical heart and bioelectrical impedance analysis. Besides heart rate measurement and irregular heart rhythm detection, users can also get a better understanding of their heart health with blood pressure and ECG monitoring. For the blood pressure monitoring feature, users would need to calibrate it with a traditional blood pressure cuff every four weeks. Meanwhile, the watch’s ECG monitoring feature will require users to place a finger on the electrical biosensor.
The budget smartwatch runs on WearOS with Samsung One UI 5 Watch skin on top. As you would expect from a Galaxy Watch, it has 5ATM + IP68-rated water resistance and is also MIL-STD-810G tested. The smartwatch is compatible with smartphones running on Android 11 or higher.
The Galaxy Watch FE is only offered as a Bluetooth and WiFi-only device without LTE connectivity in Malaysia. It also has GPS, NFC and support for Samsung Pay. Powering the watch is a 247mAh battery and it supports wireless charging.
