Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra Malaysia Specs and Features
The Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra is the brand’s toughest smartwatch yet and it’s obvious that it goes head to head with the Apple Watch Ultra. Available only in 47mm, the Watch Ultra features a 1.5″ 480×480 pixels resolution Super AMOLED display covered with Sapphire Crystal. Just like the 2nd gen Apple Watch Ultra, the screen boasts a peak brightness of 3000 nits and there’s also Night Mode for better readability in low-light situations.
The latest Galaxy smartwatches are powered by a 3nm Exynos W1000 with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It runs on Wear OS 5 with One UI 6 Watch skin on top.
With a 590mAh battery, the Galaxy Watch Ultra boasts the longest battery life in the lineup with up to 80 hours with the always-on display disabled or up to 60 hours with the feature enabled. It can last up to 100 hours when put into Power Saving mode, or up to 48 hours in Exercise Power Saving mode.
Featuring an Enhanced BioActive Sensor, the Galaxy Watch Ultra claims to offer increased accuracy to track your health and fitness metrics including advanced glycation end products (AGEs). It can also track multi-course workouts for triathlon and there are AI-powered Functional Threshold Power (FTP) metrics to accurately measure your maximum cycling power in just 4 minutes.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra is rated for 10ATM and IP68, allowing it to be submerged for up to 100 metres and it is also tested to MIL-STD 810H standards. The smartwatch also features dual-frequency GPS and if you’re in trouble, there is an SOS function and a built-in siren that emits a loud 86-decibel sound which Samsung claims can be heard from up to 180 metres away.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 Malaysia Specs and Features
If you’re looking for a smartwatch with a less chunky design, there’s the standard Galaxy Watch 7 series which comes in 44mm and 40mm sizes. The 44″ variant gets a 1.5″ 480×480 display while the smaller watch gets a 1.3″ 432×432 display. Both use AMOLED panels with support for full colour Always on Display and come with Sapphire Crystal.
Similar to the Galaxy Watch Ultra, it runs on an Exynos W1000 with 2GB RAM and 32GB of storage. However, the battery is slightly smaller at 300mAh for the 40mm version and 425mAh for the 44mm unit.
The Galaxy Watch 7 series is also equipped with Samsung’s BioActive Sensor along with support for dual-frequency GPS. Unfortunately, it lacks the rotating bezel that many fans love on the previous generation Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. Unlike the Ultra, the Watch 7 gets a lower 5 ATM water resistance rating.
