Besides introducing a new phone and wireless earbuds, Nothing’s sub-brand CMF, has also announced the Watch Pro 2. This is the brand’s second-generation smartwatch which now offers a round display instead of a squarish form factor of the first generation model. While round smartwatches aren’t new, the Watch Pro 2’s main party trick is its interchangeable bezel design.
CMF Watch Pro 2 Malaysia Pricing and Availability
The CMF Watch Pro 2 is officially priced at RM339 in Malaysia, the same price as its predecessor. If you wish to customise the looks, CMF is offering the Bezel + Strap set for RM99.
The CMF Watch Pro 2 will be widely available in Malaysia starting 15th July, but you can already pre-order your unit online via Lazada and Shopee. The smartwatch is available in 4 colours – Dark Grey, Ash Grey, Orange and Blue.
CMF Watch Pro 2 Malaysia Specs and Features
The CMF Watch Pro 2 features an aluminium alloy body with an interesting interchangeable bezel design and a digital crown to navigate the user interface. It gets a 1.32″ AMOLED display that pushes a pixel density of 353ppi (pixels per inch) and a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels. The screen boasts a 60Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 620 nits for improved outdoor visibility.
In addition to touch input, the Watch Pro 2 also supports gesture controls. With a simple flick or shake of the wrist, you can activate customised functions such as answering calls, skipping songs or checking the weather.
Similar to the first-gen Watch Pro, you can make or accept phone calls on your wrist via Bluetooth through its built-in microphone and speaker. The Watch Pro 2 also uses AI-noise reduction technology to ensure clearer voice calls.
According to Nothing, the Watch Pro 2 has over 100 watch faces to choose from which include dynamic video, interactive designs and static options with always-on display. However, at the time of launch, only 80 watch faces will be available and more options will be released by the end of July.
As you would expect from a smartwatch, the Watch Pro 2 supports activity tracking with over 120 sports modes and it has smart automatic recognition for 5 common activities which include as running, walking and cycling.
In terms of sensors, it has an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and a heart rate sensor with SpO2 bloody oxygen saturation measurement. Despite its affordable pricing, it supports five satellite positioning systems such as GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS and Beidou, as well as IP68-rated dust and water resistance.
On a full charge, the built-in 305mAh battery is rated to last up to 11 days of typical use or up to 9 days of heavy use. With continuous GPS use, the Watch Pro 2 is rated to last for up to 25 hours. A full charge with the provided cable takes approximately 100 minutes.
The CMF Watch Pro 2 is compatible with Android (8 and above) and iOS (13 and above) devices. You can pair and manage the smartwatch using the CMF Watch app.
