Apple has removed the hoarding board from the façade of Apple The Exchange TRX. The move has allowed the public to finally get a glimpse at the interior of the first Apple Store in Malaysia ahead of the official opening day that is scheduled to take place this Saturday, 22 June.
While there are currently barricades and security guards that would stop visitors from getting too close to the outlet, the interior of the Apple The Exchange TRX is still quite visible from outside the store due to its glass façade.
Apple The Exchange TRX has two floors and multiple entrances
Contrary to what we originally predicted during our visit on 29 May, there are only two floors inside Apple The Exchange TRX. The “third” floor of the store which is the building with the tudung saji-like roof served as the entrance from the TRX City Park.
If you decide to enter Apple The Exchange TRX through this entrance, you can either go to the actual show floors through the store’s escalator or stairs.
You can also choose to enter the store via its indoor main entrance which is located on the first floor of The Exchange TRX. From what we saw yesterday, this should be where the majority of Apple products are being displayed including iPhones, HomePods, AirPods, Macs, iPads, and Apple Watch.
Apple has set up a dedicated section for selected accessories and Apple Music on this floor. There is also a section that has been reserved for customers who choose to physically pick up their online orders at Apple The Exchange TRX.
Meanwhile, we also noticed two more entrances on the mall’s second floor. The existence of a gigantic screen and tons of chairs in the middle of this floor indicate that this is the event space area of the outlet which would be used to host Today at Apple sessions.
This particular floor also has dedicated areas for Apple TV as well as iPad covers, keyboards, and other related accessories. On the opposite wall, there is another section for AirPods and iPhone cases alongside Apple Arcade and gaming accessories.
What are the services that you can expect from Apple The Exchange TRX?
There are still many details regarding Apple The Exchange TRX that will only be revealed later this week. Nevertheless, the first Apple Store in Malaysia will be able to provide the majority of signature services that you may have heard of or already experienced at other Apple Stores throughout the world.
One of them is the ability to schedule a one-on-one product walkthrough session with a Specialist at the Apple Store. In fact, we experienced this way back in 2015 when we booked a session at Apple Store Sydney to have a more in-depth experience with the first-generation Apple Watch.
If you’re already an existing Apple user, you can a QR code to allow Apple Store Specialists to have a temporary snapshot of Apple products that you already own. This way, they can provide more informed advice and recommendations.
Apple The Exchange TRX will also host Today at Apple workshops and classes that are open to everyone including non-Apple users. Available for free, Today at Apple sessions cover various topics from making emojis to iPhone photography and you can use a loaner device if you don’t have an Apple device of your own during the session.

Another well-known Apple Store service that you can obtain at the Apple’s upcoming outlet in TRX is the Genius Bar in which customers can obtained hands-on technical support right at the store. Unlike back in the day, there is no longer a Genius Bar counter these days and all engagement with customers are being done at an open table to further personalised feel.
