According to Josh KY Chua who has shared these pictures at Warga Kuantan’s Facebook group, the area is accessible to the public 24 hours daily. The car park is also free of charge.

Even though Tesla has already begun deploying Supercharger V4 in Malaysia, the site at Majlis Bandaraya Kuantan received the older Supercharger V3 though. There are four charging bays that Tesla users can utilise at the site.

The activation is consistent with what Tesla’s Regional Director, Isabel Fan said in March that the Supercharger in Kuantan would be deployed by the end of Q2 this year. Other locations within the Q2 list that already went live include Penang’s first Supercharger station in Prai.

The company has also set up Supercharger V4 in IOI City Mall Putrajaya and IOI Mall Puchong which were the first such deployment in Southeast Asia. Tesla has also recently revealed that The Gardens Mall in Kuala Lumpur will soon become a Supercharger site as well.
